Advancements and Insights in Exosome-Based Therapies for Wound Healing: A Comprehensive Systematic Review (2018–June 2023)

Exosomes have shown promising potential as a therapeutic approach for wound healing. Nevertheless, the translation from experimental studies to commercially available treatments is still lacking. To assess current state of research in this field, systematic review was performed involving conducted and published over past five years. A PubMed search English-language, full-text papers 2018 June 2023, focusing on exosomes derived mammalian sources their application healing, particularly those vivo assays. Out 531 results, 148 were selected analysis. The findings revealed that exosome-based improve healing by increasing angiogenesis, reepithelization, collagen deposition, decreasing scar formation.
